Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do we drive our own UTV?

    Yes! Guests drive their own UTV and follow the guide unless otherwise requested. UTVs are booked per machine (1-2, 3-4, or 5-6 seats), with a max group size of 3 UTVs plus a guide (about 12 people total).

  • How difficult is the tour?

    This tour is designed for all skill levels. No prior off-road experience is needed—our guides will ensure you’re comfortable and confident behind the wheel. The hike to the pictographs is short and easy, making it family-friendly!

  • What should we bring?

    Wear closed-toe shoes (required for drivers) and comfortable hiking clothes. Bring sunglasses, sunscreen, plenty of water, and a camera to capture the incredible landscapes. Helmets and goggles are provided.

  • Will there be other people on the tour?

    This is a group tour, meaning you may share the experience with other guests. If you’d like a private tour, we offer an exclusive upgrade—just give us a call!

  • When and where does the tour start?

    Tours run year-round, Monday–Saturday (closed Sundays), with start times adjusting seasonally based on conditions. Meet at Expedition Kanab headquarters in central Kanab, and arrive 15 minutes early for check-in.
